Summary:

The study focused creating hair growth using a combination of microneedling and 5% minoxidil. They recruited 100 participants and divided them into two groups. One group received weekly microneedling with minoxidil lotion, while the other group used only minoxidil lotion. Hair count, patient assessment, and investigator assessment were evaluated over 12 weeks. All members of the microneedling group showed significant hair growth, with increased expression of growth-related molecules and activation of the Wnt pathway, suggesting that when microneedling is combined with minoxidil, one can achieve almost 4x results than with minoxidil alone.
