Summary:
Researchers explored stimulating hair growth using a combination of microneedling and 5% minoxidil. They studied 71 men with hair loss, dividing them into three groups. One group used only minoxidil, another only microneedling, and the third used both treatments. They tracked changes in hair density and thickness. In the group that got both treatments, they also looked at molecules related to hair growth. Results showed that the combination treatment led to better hair growth, possibly by activating a signaling pathway called Wnt/β-catenin.
